KINMEL Bay FC got their North Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division 2023-24 season off to a winning start with a home victory against CPD Llansannan on Saturday (August 12).
Bay ran out 3-2 winners at Y Morfa, which boasted a new barrier and a pitch lined and cut in good shape.
The hosts took an early lead when Connor Morris assisted Olly Gray to open the scoring in the seventh minute.
Gray then assisted Patrick Hamid to score three minutes later and double the Bay’s lead.

In a fast and skilful game, Bay were reduced to 10 men shortly before half-time when Morris received a red card during a Llansannan goalmouth struggle.
But despite being a man down, Bay increased their lead to three just a minute into the second half when Gray, assisted by Mason Richards, sealed his brace.
It was not until the 71st minute that Gruffudd Roberts, assisted by Adam Gage, scored for Llansannan to pull one back for the visitors.
Then, in a series of three corners, Gage scored the second for Llansannan in the 88th minute to make it a nervy finish.
But Bay saw out the victory to secure a good start to the season despite the late pressure.
