MEMBERS of the Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI crew were called out to four incidents in the last 24 hours.

These included two children stuck on a paddleboard, a lady who suffered a “medical emergency”, a small child in a rubber dinghy with no oars or lifejacket, and a lost four-year-old.

All of them were reported to now be “safe and well”, with Rhyl RNLI launching its inshore lifeboat to rescue the paddleboarders and the child in a dinghy.

The lady was released into the care of the Welsh Ambulance Service, meanwhile, and the four-year-old was found quickly.

Rhyl Coastguard reminded residents to supervise children in or near water.

A statement read: “All’s well that ends well, but please remember that the sea can be dangerous.

“So, always make sure your children are under close supervision on or in the water - things can take a scary turn surprisingly quickly.

“Always ensure they’re wearing lifejackets and, if they’re in inflatables, attach it to a long line and keep firm hold of it.

“As ever, if you see anyone in difficulty at or near the coast, just call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. We’re never far away.”
