AN INDIAN restaurant in Rhuddlan has appealed for help from residents after an alleged break-in at the premises last weekend.
The Village Masala, on Station Road, was seemingly burgled during the early hours of Sunday (July 30).
Owner Shahib Shah said the restaurant was “in a mess” following the incident, and warned residents to be vigilant.

He said: “On the early hours of July 30, The Village Massala was burgled. Staff came to work to start the Sunday preparation at 10am and found the bar had been stolen and the place was in a mess.
"There was no damage, as such, but a number of spirits and wines were missing.
“The purpose of this statement is to keep the beautiful village of Rhuddlan vigilant that there are thieves among us, and to warn our locals to keep any doors and windows locked.
“We have obviously increased our security measures since the incident – we have a quote for an alarm (to be fitted), which we will go ahead with.
“We make sure all windows and doors are securely locked and obviously told a number of locals to be vigilant.”
No reports to North Wales Police have been made as yet, but efforts have been made to seek out relevant closed circuit television footage.
The restaurant has been running more than two decades and is described as a “small but successful family business”, and one which is “proud to be part of our local community of Rhuddlan and North Wales”.
Shahib added: “We are always trying our utmost to provide the best food and service, as well as a friendly face at your local Indian.”
