POLICE say they've had a "busy week" of incidents in Rhyl.
North Wales Police's Denbighshire Coastal team has given a summary of incidents its dealt with in the town this week.
Monday:
They made four arrests under warrants for Failure To Appear (in court) and also conducted some high visibility patrols of hot spot areas and gathered intelligence for future operations.
Tuesday:
The Neighbourhood Policing Team were joined by the force Police Interceptors Team for an operation that resulted in a number of stop searches completed on individuals thought to be involved in the supply of drugs.
They also made an arrest for another fail to appear (FTA) warrant, as well as an arrest for suspected drug driving.
A positive stop search resulted in the arrest of a male believed to be linked to County lines, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply (PWITS) class A drugs. Drugs and cash were recovered and a man was interviewed and released on police bail, whilst the CID team now lead on the investigation.
Wednesday:
Officers were joined by colleagues from Merseyside Police and British Transport Police, for a joint operation.
Positive stop search of a male linked to County Lines - he was arrested on suspicion of PWITS class A (heroin) and Class B (cannabis) and breach of his Criminal Behaviour Order. Interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
There was also a positive stop search of a male armed with a knife, interviewed and charged with possession of bladed article. And a positive stop and arrest on suspicion drug driving - positive for both Cannabis and Cocaine. They were released under investigation pending toxicology results.
Thursday:
The day started with a Misuse of drugs search warrant being conducted, acting on community intelligence. A man was arrested on suspicion of Possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and a quantity of drugs, cash and phones seized. He was interviewed and released on police bail.
Officers also made an arrest acting on intelligence from Merseyside Police of a male suspect in five residential burglaries. He was transferred to Merseyside for interview.
Friday:
Hi-visibility engagement patrols with partners in Neighbourhood and local policing, licensing, trading standards and environmental health, conducting test purchasing and enforcement, licensing checks and patrols targeting Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
District Inspector Kevin Smith said: "We will continue to address those who bring harm and misery to our communities.
"Our approach to the supply of illegal drugs into north Wales will not be constrained by borders, and we will continue to work together with our colleagues from Merseyside, British Transport Police and other neighbouring forces to tackle County Lines.
"We are committed to making north Wales the safest place to live, work, and visit."
