A FEMALE was taken to hospital yesterday (July 26) after falling off rock armour near a holiday park in Towyn.
Rhyl and Llandudno’s Coastguard Rescue Teams both attended the incident, which was west of Whitehouse Leisure Park, on Towyn Road.
She sustained a suspected broken leg, and was stretchered to a vehicle before being transferred to hospital.

A statement from Rhyl Coastguard read: “Rhyl Coastguard Rescue Team were called to an incident west of Whitehouse Leisure Park, where a female had fallen off the rock armour and sustained a suspected broken leg.
“Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team also arrived to support, and the casualty’s injuries were attended to at the scene.
“She was then taken by stretcher to a vehicle driven by a family member, and thence transported to hospital.
“Our thanks go to the staff of Whitehouse Leisure Park, who gave substantial assistance throughout in difficult conditions.
“We send our best wishes to the casualty and her family, along with hopes for a speedy recovery.”
