“WICKED Wales Film” is to hold its 2023 international youth film festival between October 19 and 22 at Rhyl Town Hall.
Films made by young people, which will be screened in Rhyl, have already been received from Canada, Greece, Ireland, Brazil, Belgium, Iran, Serbia, Sweden, Nepal, Ukraine, Austria, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Denmark and many young filmmakers in Wales.
A programme of feature films will also be screened during the festival, while workshops will be held for young people interested in making films.

The festival will be relaunching its film network – “Ffilm Ifanc/Young Film” – looking to connect young people with the film and television industry and developing their skills.
There are a few days left to send in your short films if you have one you’d like to enter – to do so, please fill in an application form on Wicked Wales’ website; it is free entry.
Rhiannon Hughes, festival director, said: “It has been an exciting year for Wicked Wales Film, with new offices, a new company and a development of virtual film studios to support filmmakers in the area.
“We are very pleased to be bringing the festival into the centre of Rhyl and look forward to working with the schools, youth/community groups, and young creatives wanting to make films and music.”
The festival was held during the same weekend, at the same location, in 2022.
