FENCING has been erected along a stretch of Rhyl promenade by Denbighshire County Council in a bid to prevent unauthorised encampments from parking along the greenspace.
The fencing, along the east of the promenade, was also installed to protect the greenspace and to restrict other forms of illegal parking, the council said.
Last summer, numerous vehicles were found parked on Rhyl’s East Parade promenade for a number of days.

A witness told the Journal at the time that members of that encampment had “driven over the grass and ignored all signage”, and saw someone “driving over kerbs”.
Denbighshire County Council said: “The fencing that has been erected along the east promenade is there to protect greenspace areas and to restrict unauthorised vehicle access and illegal parking.”
In the summer of 2021, motorhomes were also found to be parked illegally near the Eisteddfod Standing Stones in Rhyl on multiple occasions.
An unauthorised encampment was also spotted in Rhyl in April of this year, outside the Morrisons supermarket on Marsh Road.
