THE former site of Home Bargains on Prestatyn’s High Street has been taken on by a furniture business.
“Prestatyn Furniture” will open at 86 High Street at 9am on Saturday, August 26.
Home Bargains shut at the site last December, relocating to a bigger premises in the town on Gas Works Lane.
Alison and Andy Hughes, the owners of Prestatyn Furniture, initially opened “Coast Road Furniture” in 1972 in Deeside, which has been trading successfully ever since.

Andy said: “We pride ourselves on selling British-made furniture, and deliver to the room of your choice and offer free delivery.
“We sell everything for the home; from carpets, beds, bedroom furniture, lift and rise chairs, electric beds and suites.
“When the Home Bargains store became vacant, we saw an opportunity to expand our already successful business.
“Following a complete refurbishment, we will be opening our brand-new store, trading as Prestatyn Furniture, at 9am on Saturday, August 26.
“We have already advertised for new staff and hope to take on five local people. This will be our second site.”
