RHYL Carnival returned to the town on the weekend, after a four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Carnival, now in its 132nd year, had only been postponed during the First and Second World Wars before the Covid-19 pandemic came along.
The much-loved community event, which has been running for more than 125 years, was held on Saturday, July 8, and was based within Rhyl Events Arena, where its usual parade ended.
The parade saw residents turn out in support of the pageant queens from Denbighshire, as well as visiting queens from Denbigh, Ruthin, Amlwch and Caernarfon.

Young Lucas and Holly were named the Rhyl Prince and Princess, while Miss Rhyl Erika was paraded around in a vintage Morgan car.
A Rhyl Carnival spokesperson said: “We are so happy that we have been able to return.
“Each year the committee and the children work hard to bring a free event to the community of Rhyl and we are already looking forward to next year’s event.
“We as a committee would like to thank the people of Rhyl and the wonderful volunteers that supported us on Carnival day - without them we would struggle to hold the event.”
