THE BISTRO in Rhyl has announced its permanent closure today, after serving customers for 20 years.
One of North Wales’ most acclaimed restaurants, combining ingredients from the area with a relaxed and contemporary dining room, it has been a popular destination under the ownership of chef Chris Lloyd.
But sadly, due to Mr Lloyd’s ill health, the restaurant has closed its doors for the final time.

In a post on social media, the restaurant said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Bistro will be closed permanently from today due to ill health.
“Chris Lloyd had been the owner and chef for two decades and he would like to thank all of his staff (past and present) as well as all of our customers for their continued support.
“All those who have paid deposits will be contacted and our phone line will remain open for enquiries, but we will no longer be reachable on our social media pages or email.”
The Bistro had “reluctantly” closed for a weekend in June, again due to Mr Lloyd’s health, and had hoped to reopen shortly after.
This never happened, and The Bistro has bid the people of Rhyl farewell.
