FOLLOWING Sir Elton John's emotional 'final' UK show at Glastonbury, we take a look back at when the veteran musician treated fans to an amazing concert in Colwyn Bay.
The international singing sensation performed at Access All Eirias at the then Eirias Stadium on Saturday, June 6 2014 as part of his European Tour and it was Sir Elton’s first performance in North Wales.
The Pioneer attended the two-hour concert.
The legend arrived on stage sporting a purple glitter suit that shined turquoise in the light and the initials 'EJ' were embellished on his back.
His show opened with a lengthy instrumental that showcased Sir Elton’s extraordinary talent on the piano.
During the night, Sir Elton sang a selection of hits and classic tracks from his incredible six-decade career such as Candle in the Wind, Your song, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Rocket Man, Holiday Inn, Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word, Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me, I'm Still Standing and Crocodile Rock.
The night was very memorable; I recall thousands of fans wearing star shaped glasses, wearing Sir Elton masks and waving Welsh flags.
Addressing the crowd at the start of the show, Sir Elton said: “Good evening Colwyn Bay, North Wales.”
He went on to joke: “It is pretty cold.”
Towards the end of the show the star took time to sign notepads, programmes and even blankets and thanked audiences for their support.
At the time, it had been his 47th year of touring.
Sir Elton performed hit after hit on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury.
The superstar thanked fans after his headline set saying they will be in his “heart and soul forever."
The mega star brought the festival to a close on Sunday (June 25) night with his headline set, which included hits such as Your Song, Tiny Dancer, Rocketman and Benny And The Jets.

He wrote on Instagram: “Thank you Glastonbury! The energy last night was like nothing else, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the crowd and the people watching at home for all your love and support.
“You will be in my heart and soul forever.
“UK, what a farewell. I love you.”
Sir Elton’s highly anticipated set was billed as his final UK show before he retires from touring at the end of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
