RHUDDLAN Castle welcomed an unexpected visitor on Saturday (June 17) in the form of a Dalek.
Sian Baker, who took the above photo, spotted a replica of the Doctor Who villain in the castle grounds as she walked past on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Cadw, the historic environment service of Welsh Government, said: “This was just a request from a young man who had asked to bring the Dalek he made from recyclable materials to the site to take a photograph.”

Sian added: “If I hadn’t taken a picture, I’d have been thinking that I was drinking!
“I don’t know much about it, but was just coming up the road and the man in the house opposite the castle asked if I had seen the Dalek, so I took a couple of pictures.
“The gate was closed, so I only saw it from a distance. It was just a bit of fun. It was very life-like; I wasn’t scared, though!”
The Daleks, who are portrayed as violent cyborg aliens, first appeared in 1963, in the Doctor Who serial “The Daleks”.
Created by Terry Nation, and known for declaring “exterminate!”, in time they began to be known as one of the most famous and popular enemies of the Doctor.
