A BAR in Rhyl is due to change hands after its owner decided to sell the business to pursue a new career.
The Cove, on Water Street, will close temporarily this weekend, before re-opening with new management.
Outgoing owner Abbie Nelson said that, after running the bar for more than five years, she hopes to now work for the police.

She said: “I just want a different career. It (running your own business) is so stressful; I’m only 27, and have had The Cove since I was about 21. It’s taken up all of my time.
“We survived a pandemic, but it’s just been me running it on my own, without a business partner or anything like that. I guess I’m just ready to move on now.”

Abbie added that she believes that it will only “probably be a week or two” until The Cove re-opens, following refurbishment work.
On Friday and Saturday (June 9 and 10), The Cove will host two leaving parties for Abbie before its temporary closure.
Entry is free on both nights, with events being held from 9pm-3am, with music from Paul Maffia and DJ Hot Pants.
Abbie said that she will continue to run her other business, Proactive Security Solutions, which has been responsible for providing The Cove with its door staff.
