A WOMAN said she saw a man taking photographs of her nine-year-old daughter while at a beach near Prestatyn on Friday (June 2).
This was at Talacre Beach during the early afternoon. The man was unknown to her.
She reported the matter to police at about 2.30pm which, she said, led to a “huge police presence”.
Police confirmed that the report was made, adding that, while no suspect was found, investigations continue.

The mother said: “He did it in a very sneaky way. I ran after him, he denied taking pictures but I made him show me his photos and there were two of my daughter.
“He tried to say it was an accident. I called the police and within half an hour, there was a huge police presence; about 10 officers looking for him and going through local CCTV.
“Parents need to be aware of what is going on so they can be vigilant.
"Luckily, my daughter was relatively unaffected.”

The woman also urged other parents to be particularly cautious in light of this experience, adding that it made her “so fearful of the world we live in”.
She said: “I am extremely vigilant of others around my child, which is why I noticed. Many others would not have as he did not lift his camera; he held it by his side and angled it towards her.
“This makes me so fearful of the world we live in.
“We are a family who went for a day at the seaside. This transpired into a traumatic and upsetting experience; as a parent, this is your worst nightmare.
“I would urge parents to be as vigilant as possible as this man has not been caught.”
Police have encouraged anyone with information which may assist their investigations to contact them.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “At 2.44pm on Friday, June 2, we received a report that a male was seen taking images of persons present on Talacre Beach.
“Officers attended but no suspect was identified."
