A COUPLE of “unauthorised intruders” were caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) at CPD Y Rhyl 1879’s football ground on Saturday (May 13).

The two young people are believed to have entered Rhyl’s Belle Vue stadium at about 9pm.

North Wales Police have been made aware and are investigating the matter.

CPD Y Rhyl 1879 said: “Yet again, we have experienced unauthorised intruders in to our community football ground.

“We have passed the CCTV images and names of the culprits to North Wales Police, as we continue with our zero tolerance on breaking and entering.

“As a volunteer-run club, we hope this behaviours stops.”

A North Wales Police spokesperson added: “We were called shortly after 12pm on Sunday, May 14 to report an incident of anti-social behaviour at Rhyl Football Club.

“It is reported that two young people entered the grounds without permission on the evening of Saturday, May 13 at about 9pm.

“Officers have been made aware and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
