A PERSON has been taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital following a crash between a car and a pedestrian in Rhyl.
This was on Trellewelyn Road near Ysgol Llywelyn.
A resident informed the Journal earlier this morning that an air ambulance had landed on the field at Ysgol Llywelyn. A reader sent in the above video of the air ambulance taking off.
They also said that the school's sports day had been "delayed" as a result of the incident. Denbighshire Council have been approached for comment.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (May 12) at approximately 8.39am, to reports of incident on Trellewelyn Road in Rhyl. We sent two rapid response vehicles and one emergency ambulance to the scene, and we were supported by colleagues from the Wales Air Ambulance.
"We conveyed one patient by road to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital for further treatment.”
North Wales Police said: "We were called at 8.43am this morning to report a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Trellewelyn Road, Rhyl. Officers attended along with Ambulance and Air Ambulance colleagues, which subsequently led to one person being conveyed to hospital."
