A MAN charged with three counts of attempted murder following an incident in Corwen last week will appear in court next month.

Ryan Wyn Jones, 27, of Clawdd Poncen, is also charged with possession of a bladed article.

Jones appeared at Mold Magistrates’ Court yesterday (May 8), where he was remanded in custody.

He will appear at Mold Crown Court on June 9 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

No pleas were entered yesterday.

Jones was arrested on Friday (May 5) after police were called to reports of a domestic incident in the Clawdd Poncen area of Corwen.

A 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and was said to be in a “stable but critical condition”.

In addition, three children were also taken to hospital, one with serious injuries; while two have now been released.
