A TEENAGER from Rhyl has been handed a curfew after admitting to numerous offences including theft and criminal damage.

The 14-year-old pleaded guilty to the following offences:

  • Stealing 10 phone cases from M:2 Mobiles, White Rose Centre, Rhyl, worth £100 on January 10.
  • Stealing clothing from JD Sports, Parc Llandudno on January 26.
  • Using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Rhyl on February 14.
  • Assaulting another person by beating them in Rhyl on February 14.
  • Stealing a “Ring” doorbell on Wellington Road, Rhyl on February 15.
  • Stealing a vape worth £5.99 from Morrisons, Marsh Road, Rhyl on February 16.
  • Causing criminal damage to a vehicle on South Avenue on February 20.
  • Stealing food from Farmfoods, Marina Quay Retail Park, Rhyl on March 16.

At Llandudno Magistrates’ Court yesterday (May 2), the child was made subject to a Youth Rehabilitation Order.

This will prohibit them from leaving their home address every day between 8pm and 7am until August 1.

They will also be electronically monitored to ensure that they comply with the curfew.
