Iceland is set to close another North Wales branch in May as the supermarket giant continues to struggle with high energy costs and rising inflation.

Iceland in Flint is set to close its doors on May 27.

This is the third Iceland branch to close in North Wales in 2023 with supermarkets in Rhyl (White Rose Centre) and Bangor (Deiniol Centre) shutting in March.

Speaking to The Leader recently, an Iceland spokesperson said: “We continually review our Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse store portfolio to ensure we’re delivering the best experiences for our customers across the country.

"Customers can find their closest alternative store at the Flintshire Retail Park [in Flint], and we want to thank all that have chosen Iceland for their weekly shops and daily essentials over the years.”
