A PERSON was taken to hospital following an incident involving a forklift at Dyserth Falls Resort.

North Wales Police received a call at 2.23pm on April 17 from the Welsh Ambulance service. 

A spokesperson for the force said: "We received a call at 2.23pm from colleagues at WAST reporting an incident involving a forklift at the Dyserth Falls Resort.

"Officers attended and one person was taken to hospital.

"The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have been informed and will take primacy.

Lyons Holiday Park Limited (Lyons Group) - who own sites in Towyn, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Gronant and St Asaph - snapped up Dyserth Falls Resort for an undisclosed sum in 2019. It was on the market with Lambert Smith Hampton for £2million.

The family-run holiday park operator intend to restore the hotel to its former glory.

A spokesperson for Denbighshire County Council said: “We have been made aware of an incident at this location and relevant officers are looking into it.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at approximately 1.25pm yesterday, (April 17), to an incident at Dyserth Falls Resort in Rhyl.

"We deployed a single rapid response vehicle and emergency ambulance to scene.

"One patient was conveyed to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital for further treatment."

Attempts are being made to contact the Lyons Group.
