A TOTAL of nine care home workers were rescued from an address in Llangollen this week as part of a modern slavery operation.
The workers, aged between 24 and 38, were primarily from India.

North Wales Police supported the operation, led by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA), which has led to the workers being safeguarded.
Detective Sergeant Sian Roberts said: “We take modern slavery offences very seriously and would ask members of the public to be aware of the signs and report any concerns that they have to us via our website, or by calling 101.
“Alternative, call the UK Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.”
