A POLICE presence in Rhyl led to the arrest of a “wanted individual” yesterday (March 23).
An eyewitness told the Journal that they saw approximately nine police vehicles near the town’s H-Bridge and outside its Home Bargains store, on Marsh Road, at about 4.30pm yesterday.

The resident added: “Some of the police had blue gloves on, and also in the Home Bargains car park was what looked like a white security van with two people in front of it.
“Loads of sirens were flying over the bridge, and police were everywhere.”

North Wales Police confirmed that the individual was located and arrested.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are aware of the concerns around a police presence in the Marsh Road area of Rhyl yesterday (March 23).
“Police were searching for a wanted individual, who was later located and arrested.
“Thanks to the public for your patience whilst we were in the area.”
