ARRANGEMENTS have been confirmed for the re-arranged reverse fixture between Bangor 1876 and CPD Y Rhyl 1879 next month.
The two sides will meet in the Ardal North West League at the Nantporth stadium in Bangor on Saturday, April 8 (kick-off 12.30pm).
A mass brawl broke out towards the end of the reverse fixture at Rhyl’s Belle Vue ground on October 22, 2022, which led to five red cards and a Football Association of Wales (FAW) investigation.

- There will be enhanced stewarding and security checks, both to detect prohibited objects (including alcohol/pyrotechnics) and to enforce strict segregation.

New date and venue set for controversial Rhyl-Bangor match
Rhyl and Bangor players charged following disorder at October match
An allocation of tickets has been made to Rhyl fans who will enter the ground by turnstiles A and B, and occupy the area at the Antelope end of the ground and the family stands.
Bangor 1876 fans will enter the ground by turnstiles C and D, and will occupy the Pier end and the main stand.
Fans are asked to use the steps from the car park to access the road to the turnstiles at the rear of the stand.
Disabled spectators should present themselves at the officials’ and players’ entrance.
The gates will open at Nantporth on matchday at 11.30am, for a match which was originally scheduled for February 18.
It means Bangor will not host Rhyl at their usual home ground, but at Nantporth, which was the home of Bangor FC until 2022.
The kick-off time had been brought forward to 12.30pm on February 18, while Rhyl were told that none of their fans were to be allowed entry at the match, which was due to be played at Bangor’s Treborth stadium on the city’s university grounds.
Following this, the game was then postponed on February 3.
A total of three players have been charged following an incident of disorder on the pitch during the October clash, which Bangor won 2-1.
They are all due to appear before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on March 29.
In total, seven red cards were shown in October’s game.
More details on ticket sales for the match can be found on both clubs’ websites.
