PARTS of Prestatyn experienced a blackout last night (March 19) following a power cut.
This was at roughly 7.15pm yesterday, and lasted for approximately one hour, affecting those in the LL19 postcode area of the town.

It was listed as a “HV_N” (high voltage) type of power cut.
ScottishPower has explained the reason for the power cut, and apologised for the inconvenience it caused residents.

A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: “Power supplies to a number of properties in the Prestatyn area were affected for around an hour last night due to a network cable fault.
“Engineers attended immediately and supplies were restored as quickly as possible and work is ongoing to complete the full excavation and repair.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
