A SCHOOL in Rhyl has shared a warning with parents after it reported that one of its pupils was chased by a man wearing a mask.
A schoolgirl of Ysgol Emmanuel was said to have been followed at about 8.20am yesterday morning (March 7).
Ysgol Christchurch, also in Rhyl, circulated two messages its own pupils’ parents after receiving a message from Ysgol Emmanuel.
The man was said to have been dressed in black, and began running after the girl once she started to cycle away from him.
North Wales Police are said to have been informed.

An email from Ysgol Christchurch to parents, shown to the Journal, read: “We have just had a message from Ysgol Emmanuel please see below. It is concerning, so please be vigilant.
“If there are any other reports, please inform school immediately. Many thanks, Ysgol Christchurch.
The message in question from Ysgol Emmanuel read: “One of our pupils was followed (on March 7) at about 8.20am by a male.
“He was wearing black clothes and a black mask, and when she got on her bike, he started to run after her.
“He followed her from Marsh Road to the Ffordd Las playing fields.
“She picked up our walking bus at the Oaktree stop, and then he fell back and carried on past Victoria Road when they turned left to school.
“The police have been informed.”

A further email from Ysgol Christchurch to parents last night, also shown to the Journal, read: “We would like to let all parent/guardians know that it was not the walking bus from Ysgol Emmanuel that was followed, but an individual child.
“The police are fully aware of this situation and are dealing with the matter.”
A North Wales Police spokesperson added: "Staff at Ysgol Emmanuel made us aware of an incident involving a pupil walking to school in the vicinity.
"Officers spoke to the parents and the pupil, and also the headteacher, and have since conducted high-visibility patrols in the area.
"No further sightings or incidents have been reported, but officers will be continuing patrols for the rest of the week.
