A CAR dealer is to open a new showroom at its base in Rhyl as part of an exciting new stage in the company's growth.

W R Davies Motor Group will add Nissan vehicles to its North Wales portfolio when it opens “W R Davies Nissan Rhyl” in September.

This will be based at the current site location of “W R Davies Ford Rhyl” at 63 Ffordd Las.

“W R Davies Ford Rhyl” will continue to operate, with an added 100 per cent capacity increase to its workshop.

In addition, “W R Davies Rhyl” will become a Ford Transit centre for aftersales.

“W R Davies Nissan Rhyl” will bring a brand of vehicles to the North Wales area that haven’t been available from a main dealer for some time.

Neil Sullivan, director at W R Davies, said: “The addition of Nissan to our Rhyl site is a huge and exciting opportunity for us as a business.

“We are operating with a business-as-usual approach; our Ford customers need not worry about too much disruption.

“We will continue to offer our five-star customer service to our Ford customers, and look forward to welcoming Nissan customers to our business.”

W R Davies Rhyl is doubling its workshop capacity, which will mean that wait times for both current and new customers will decrease.

And as a transit service centre, the business hopes to support other enterprises in the area with its commercial vehicles.

Customers will be welcomed to a completely new, modern showroom, while there will be an opportunity to recruit for multiple departments in the business.

Neil Hogg, service manager at W R Davies Rhyl, added: “With our workshop capacity doubling, we will be looking for skilled technicians to join our team.

“We will also be looking at the potential of taking on apprentice-level technicians, which is an exciting opportunity for school leaver-age locals”.

Founded in 1924, W R Davies Motor Group has been a family-run business since it was established by William Rees Davies in the village of Berriew, near Welshpool.

The company offers a wide range of products and services designed to aid customers with their mobility.
