A PERSON was taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle took place in Rhyl yesterday afternoon (February 26).

North Wales Police, the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the Wales Air Ambulance attended the incident shortly after 5pm on Queen Street.

A Welsh Ambulance Spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday, shortly after 5pm, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and motorbike on Queen Street, Rhyl.

"We sent one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

"One person was transported by road to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital for further treatment.”

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.02pm yesterday to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Queen Street, Rhyl.

“Officers attended alongside colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service and HELIMED (air ambulance), and the road was briefly closed whilst the incident was dealt with.”

A Wales Air Ambulance spokesperson added: “I can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in the Rhyl area on Sunday.

“A team from Caernarfon were allocated at 5.05pm and arrived at the scene by helicopter at 5.38pm. Our involvement concluded at 7.15pm."
