A DEVELOPMENT involving the conversion of a site into new residential apartments along Rhyl’s seafront has been given planning permission.
The plans, lodged last year by Rhyl-based Skeffington Properties, comprise alterations and conversions to form eight apartments at the former site of the Portland Hotel, 15 East Parade.
They involve the construction of six one-bedroom and two two-bedroom flats.

Denbighshire County Council approved the application on February 9.
Similar proposals at the six-storey Victorian building were also submitted in late 2019 by 5R Holdings Ltd.
When consulted, no objections to the plans were raised by Natural Resources Wales, Rhyl Town Council, or Dwr Cymru / Welsh Water.
