A DEVELOPMENT involving more than 100 new homes opposite Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan has been given planning permission.

On February 8, Denbighshire County Council granted approval for 108 homes to built on land opposite the hospital, on Rhuddlan Road.

The plans had been given the green light in early October 2022, before a revised proposed layout was put forward later that month.

They were submitted by Mr D Wilkinson, of Pure Residential and Commercial Ltd.

The plans include 40 two-bedroom houses and apartments, 45 three-bedroom houses, 13 four- and five-bedroom houses, and 10 affordable homes.

Parking spaces for each new home will be included, while a children’s play area will also be build.

The development will comprise a mixture of 13 different housing types, consisting of detached, semi-detached, terraced housing, and apartments.

Of the new properties, most will be two-storey, but some will be two-and-a-half- and three-storey buildings.

The homes will be built on what is currently agricultural land.
