A NORTH Wales adult content creator has spoken out about online trolls who try to shame her for her chosen career.

Hayley Rowson is one of North Wales' most high-profile adult content providers, earning more money than she had in her previous job as a delivery driver.

She says she finds being her own boss empowering, sets her own limits, and enjoys what she does.

However, she has always kept that part of her life, including making content for platforms like OnlyFans, separate from her family.

But recently she has experienced people sharing images from her accounts that are only accessibly by paid subscribers to her family.

Hayley said: "I've never really hidden it from everyone, but I've never really spoken about it are my parents.

"I want them to know that I have a big personality and a lot of people do care about me. The amount of support I've had has been amazing, with people saying how awful it is."

Hayley added: "It's wrong to share it with someone's parents.

"I am open about what I do and will openly speak out about what I do. But there's just some things you don't want your parents seeing."

Hayley became famous outside the adult industry in 2022 as "That Bus Girl" for her transformation of a double-decker London bus into a home. Until recently the bus was parked on land in Ffynnongroyw.

But she still sees adult content as her occupation, and says she finds it empowering despite what others might think.

She said: "Other people told me they have had similar experiences, and I think that it is something that should be talked about."

"There is definitely still a stigma - but it is the new normal now.

"I have so many friends in the industry that are being judged every day. They feel they can't do things. Even things like taking their kids to school, they're made to feel like they're doing something wrong.

"If you think about people like Kim Kardashian, she wouldn't be where she is if she didn't do what she did in the beginning. I think people forget that.

"It's easy for people to sit back and judge. I have another job and one of the people I work with spoke to me recently and said 'I did actually pre-judge you before I met you because of what you do, but I'm so glad I met you and you're such a lovely person'."

Hayley added that most young people now accept that her chosen career is valid, and many women find her inspirational.

She said: "I'm an entrepreneur, this is my own business. I decide the rules, I set the prices. They are my decisions, and if I don't like something I will not do it. It's that simple.

"I love the freedom it gives me. If I want to take a week off and go to Benidorm, I can do that.

"It's so empowering, and it makes me feel so much more confidant.

"For example, if you see me in my everyday life, I look like an absolute scruff most of the time. I don't feel sexy at all. But when I feel in the mood, I can take some pictures and go online to shat to a few people, I feel like I go into another personality almost. It makes me feel so much better about myself. Even if its just a few days a week, just looking like a different person and learning to love yourself again. Spending that time on yourself is amazing."

She added: "A lot of my audience is female who follow me for inspiration and support. I feel like I'm making a big difference to people's lives."

Hayley has been making content for two years, started taking it more seriously in the last couple of months.

She said: "I decided this is for me, this is something I want to do. I just decided not to have any cares in the world and to go for it. I think it's actually the best thing I've ever done and its made me who I am now. I have purpose, and my own business. I have something to get up for every day. I make more money that I could in my pervious jobs, and it's mine. Nobody can take it away from me."

That said, she says the recent negativity aimed at her and her family has made her more cautious.

Hayley said: "That's what makes it so sad when someone is trying to use it against me. I am more wary now, I am more careful where I share my links and photos. It has stripped me of a lot of my confidence.

"Society make it easier to believe the bad in people over the good.

""Even in myself, this almost made me believe I was doing something wrong, but then I stood back and thought about it and remembered I'm doing nothing wrong.

"There are criminals out there in the world that probably aren't thought about as badly as someone just in their room taking a few photos or a little video of themselves. We're not hurting anyone."

"It is often 40-year-old men that criticise. I think they're jealous that I'm in control and men can't do this work as easily as women. They call you a slag, they try and make women ashamed of their bodies or their sexual history.

"It's like schoolboys in the playground."
