A CHICKEN at a farm on a caravan and camping park in Rhuddlan laid an unusually large egg last week.
The egg, laid at Abbey Farm, on Abbey Road, was roughly double the size of the five others in its carton.
Abbey Farm played it down as “just a chicken that laid a big egg!”, adding: “Only one word comes to mind… ‘Ouch’!”
Abbey Farm was named “best caravan site in Wales” at the Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping Awards 2022 last November.

The park, which is family-run and opened nearly two years ago, was also previously awarded “gold” from Visit Wales for its hand-crafted ensuite glamping pods.
Celia Williams, of Abbey Farm, enjoyed a successful career in construction, before expanding the caravan and camping park in 2020.
Her husband's family have been farming on the land for more than a century.
