THE owner of a new three-in-one Rhyl takeaway said he hopes his new business will cater for all tastes and offer something different, including unlimited pizza toppings.
Lewis Jordan, originally from Rhyl, opened “Simply Food Rhyl” on January 27 at its base on Ty Newydd Road.
Opening as a collaboration between “Simply Fish & Chips”, “Ludo’s Pizza” and North Wales bubble tea business “Bubbleninja”, the takeaway is currently open from 4-9pm every Friday and Saturday.
With “Simply Fish & Chips” having been running for more than a decade, and “Bubbleninja” proving a great success since he set it up last year, Lewis hopes having all three business under one roof will pay dividends.
He said: “I had Simply Fish & Chips before, and we just wanted to re-do it. I think we’ll open more in the season, but we just want to get things up and running first, just so everything’s done right and works well.
“It just works together so well. We used to just do fish and chips, but when the pandemic hit, we had to change the business because we couldn’t get the fish or the chips.
“We started doing chicken, fries, pizzas, and it just took off really well. You’re offering something for everyone – everything’s in one place.
“Extra pizza toppings can be quite dear, so I thought: ‘Let’s just do unlimited toppings for one price’. It's just giving people choice.
“People are ordering their pizzas with 14 different toppings on! It’s just a bit of a novelty; something different which nobody else is doing.”

Lewis has been “really pleased” by the response from customers during its opening two weekends, having started trading in a notoriously difficult month for businesses.
Its menu includes Bubbleninja milk and syrup drinks, 12” and 9” unlimited toppings pizzas, nachos, onion rings, ice cream, potato wedges, fish and chips, burgers, chicken nuggets and much more.
Its sister store, on Rhyl Road, Denbigh, has more than a decade of successful trading under its belt.
The takeaway offers both a collection and delivery service.
Lewis plans to also launch his business on delivery applications next week, which he hopes will boost business even further.
He added: “I’ve seen people who used to come to us when we were Simply Fish & Chips in Rhyl, which has been great.
“Obviously, January is a poor time in general to open anything, but we’re really pleased.
“We’re not on any platforms like Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat, but hopefully we’ll be on them from next week, so people then can order from there as well.
“I love Rhyl; it’s a lovely town, and it always feels like there’s something going on.”
