A MAN was fined and disqualified from driving after not providing a specimen of breath in St Asaph.
Paul Rimmer, 40, of Turner Rise, Macclesfield, was accused of failing, without reasonable excuse, to provide police with a sample of breath, as part of an investigation into whether he was in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
This was at St Asaph custody on January 1.
He pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on January 27.
Rimmer was disqualified from driving for 17 months, but this will be reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a course by December 28.
In addition, he is to pay a £416 fine, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £166 victim surcharge.
This totalled £667, to be paid in £50 instalments each month from February 24.
