A ROAD in Rhyl has closed after police was called to an incident.
This was on Wellington Road, near Marina Quay retail park.
It is believed that two air ambulances attended.
At 12.30pm today (February 2), North Wales Police said: "Due to an incident, Wellington Road, Rhyl is currently closed."
A North Wales Police spokesperson added that it is a "medical incident," saying: "police are in attendance to assist with the landing of the air ambulance."
An eyewitness told the Journal: "I heard the first helicopter and saw it landing; I then went to look at the helicopter, and then police showed up, blocking off the road.
"We then heard the second helicopter landing. I'm not sure what has happened, though.
"The second landed, and members of that crew also headed to the scene. The road is still blocked, and both helicopters remain here."
A second eyewitness added: "I saw the first helicopter land at 12.15pm and a few members of the air ambulance leave the helicopter heading towards the scene.
"Then the police arrived next to Farmfoods, where the helicopter had landed; police were speaking to the helicopter pilot.
"I heard the pilot say a second helicopter would be landing, too."
Attempts have been made to contact North Wales Police, Wales Air Ambulance and the Welsh Ambulance Service for further comment.
