A VEHICLE fire took place on a road by Rhyl’s seafront this morning (February 1).
This was on Marine Drive, with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service called to the incident at 10.53am.
A service spokesperson said the fire was “thought to be caused by a mechanical fault”.
An eyewitness, who took the above photos, added: “I am so pleased that the lady who was driving this car was not hurt.
“Flames were coming from everywhere as she was driving this morning.
"As the car was coming down Marine Drive, I could see flames coming from under it and from the engine.

“Other cars were flashing their lights… it pulled up and a lady got out.
“Other cars pulled up and were stopping other cars from passing by staying in the middle of the road and flagging them down.
“Several minutes later, the fire brigade were there, using water to put out the fire.”
