A MAN is to pay a four-figure sum after he was found guilty of not giving police a sample of his blood in St Asaph.
Stuart Campbell, 56, of Crewe Road, Haslington, was accused of not providing a specimen of blood at St Asaph Custody on December 30, 2022.
This was part of an investigation into whether he had driven while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
At Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on January 23, Campbell was disqualified from driving for 17 months, but this will reduce by 17 weeks if he completes a course by December 24.
He is to pay a £2,000 fine, a surcharge of £800, and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.
This totalled £2,885, to be paid in full by March 23.
