A SCHOOL in St Asaph has closed for the second day in a row due to flooding, with doubts as to when it will reopen.

Ysgol Glan Clwyd, on Upper Denbigh Road, was closed yesterday after a decision by the school was taken late Sunday evening.

At the time, a social media post from the school said: “The school will be closed tomorrow (30/01/23) for students, an email has been sent to parents.”

Ysgol Glan Clwyd has now closed for a second day, with a school spokesperson telling the Journal that discussions will take place later today to determine a plan for the rest of the week.

This could involve further closure of the site to students.

A spokesperson said: “The school had a flood.

“[Reopening] is being discussed today, and it will be sent out to parents later on this afternoon because the assessors are in.”

The school added they could make no further comment until an assessment had been completed.
