A FLOCK of sheep were spotted roaming free in Abergele this morning.
Shortly after 10am, a total of six ewes and one ram were spotted on Llanfair Road by a resident.
The resident, who asked not to be named, said she has no idea who the farmer responsible for them is as yet, and added that the sheep all had a red marking on their necks.
She said: “There were grazing outside my home; as I went to take a closer look, my neighbour came down the road and spooked them, making them go down the side of the fence towards the country path and river.
“I watched them for a while. I was on the phone with the local vets and police, wondering what to do.

“I was concerned about lambing season soon, and the number of dogs in the surrounding area.
“I noticed that a few went into a field through a piece of broken fence, before coming back out and across the iron bridge, following the trail going up towards the eye unit.
“Neighbours brought out their young ones, and we were all laughing and smiling about the sheep. The kids enjoyed watching them!”
