A RESIDENT of Abergele was banned from the roads after admitting to drug-driving in the town.
Sion Williams, 33, of Berthglyd, was accused of driving a Ford vehicle on Rhuddlan Road on July 23, 2022 with nine micrograms per litre of blood of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).
Williams pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on January 16.
The court disqualified Williams from driving for 12 months.
In addition, Williams will pay a £200 fine, £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a victim surcharge of £80.
This totalled £365, to be paid in monthly instalments of £25 from January 31.
