A MAN from near Prestatyn was jailed after admitting to 10 offences, including criminal damage and breaching a restraining order.

Stuart Pryde, of Nant Y Gro, Gronant, was accused of the following:

  • Causing £189.60 of criminal damage to a window belonging to Paul Salem on Llanasa Road, Gronant on August 22, 2022.
  • Driving a Ford Fusion vehicle on Llanasa Road while disqualified on November 30, 2022.
  • Attending Llanasa Road on November 30, 2022, thus breaching his restraining order.
  • Driving a Ford Fusion vehicle on Nant Y Gro, Gronant without third party insurance on November 30, 2022.
  • Driving a Ford Fusion vehicle on Nant Y Gro while disqualified and without third party insurance on December 1, 2022.
  • Approaching Cassey Taylor on Llanasa Road on December 1, 2022 and on January 12, thus breaching his restraining order on both occasions.
  • Causing criminal damage to a door and lock belonging to Taylor on January 12.
  • Using violence to secure entry to a property on Llanasa Road on January 12.

He pleaded guilty to all of the above at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on January 14 and 16.

On January 16, the court sentenced Pryde to a year’s imprisonment.

The court issued a new restraining order to him, effective until January 15, 2028.

This prohibits Pryde from contacting or approaching Taylor, attempting to enter any property known to be occupied by her, and entering Llanasa Road.

He was disqualified from driving for 18 months.
