A WOMAN in Prestatyn captured parked cars sliding across the ground by a medical centre in the town.

Gemma Williams, who owns The Little Cheesemonger, had parked her car at the Healthy Prestatyn Iach Ty Nant, a medical centre, when all of a sudden the car started moving.

"I parked the car and slammed the door shut, and the car just started moving," Gemma told the Journal.

"A man behind me then went to his car, and said he had parked where mine was now, when he left it."

The car was now in front of Gemma's, having slid completely out of the parking zone, so much so she thought that the space was free.

Gemma said: "It was just a danger, just a stone's throw away the Council were gritting on the pavement - it was mad, it was chaotic."

Gemma's troubles did not end there, however, as she was luckily on duty to make sure other people's vehicles did not bash into one another.

With a spade in hand, she went to work on helping other cars find some grip.

"I got a spade and started digging out people's wheels, when cars started moving I started digging out their wheels so they could grip.

"The next time that car park is icy, it's going to need to be a priority with the Council because it is so steep."

Despite all this, Gemma found the funny side, adding: "I've only had the car a week!"
