DELAYS were caused to railway services in Rhyl after police were called to an “altercation” at the town’s train station.
British Transport Police (BTP) said it was called to the incident shortly before 2pm this afternoon (January 13).
A BTP spokesperson said: “We were called to Rhyl station at 1.52pm today following reports of an altercation onboard a train.
“Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing.”

A Transport for Wales (TfW) update added: “Due to the police dealing with an incident at Rhyl, some lines are blocked.
“Train services through this station may be subject to disruption on all routes.”
A further TfW update followed shortly after 2pm, saying: “Following the police dealing with an incident at Rhyl, some lines have now reopened.”
