A fast-paced game, referee Mark Petch showed just one yellow card, while later in the second half, United’s Tomos Cumming was injured in a freak clash.
Kinmel Bay wished him “a very speedy recovery”.
Speaking after the match, a delighted Kinmel Bay manager, Leon Field said: “It’s been a good result, considering last season, Llandyrnog are ahead of us in the league and this result is what we have been working for.
“Our team is continuously developing, there are opportunities for new players if we are good enough, and today is down to us.”
