A WOMAN who stole five times from stores in Rhyl has received a suspended sentence.
Donna Lerwill, 39, of Ffynnongroew Road, was accused of the following:
- Stealing roughly £50 of meat and coffee from Farmfoods, Marina Quay Retail Park on September 15.
- Stealing £100 of alcohol from the Co-op on Ffordd Elan on October 23.
- Stealing hair products from B&M, Marina Quay Retail Park on October 24.
- Stealing bottles of alcohol worth a total of £174.50 from the Co-op on Ffordd Elan on November 7.
- Stealing £100 of alcohol from the Co-op on Ffordd Elan on November 7.
She was found guilty of all of the above at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on November 23.
Lerwill was sentenced to 24 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
This was due to her “spree of thefts” and her previous convictions.
She was banned from entering any Co-op, B&M or Farmfoods store for 12 months.
Lerwill will pay £480.47 in compensation, and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
This made a total payment of £565.47.
