A SPECIAL Santa’s grotto will be held for dogs in Prestatyn for one day only later in December.
Residents can take their furry friends to meet Father Christmas at the Tu Mundo yn Y Shed coffee shop – its new premises - on Pen Y Maes, Meliden, on Sunday, December 11.
The event, dubbed “Santa Paws”, has been organised by Co.Creative Performance Company, a performing arts group based in Prestatyn, in collaboration with Tu Mundo.

The first release time slots are available now on Co. Creative’s website, with this being the first time it has put on such an event for dogs.
Chloé Waggett, founder of Co. Creative, said: “We’ve got a children’s grotto in Prestatyn, but this is the first one (for dogs)!
“It was Tu Mundo who came to me (with the idea), as all of their cafes are dog-friendly. They just thought it’d be an amazing idea if the dogs could meet Santa.
“We’ve got little props, like antler ears and Santa hats for the dogs to wear if they want, and we can give them treats and they can pose for a photo with Santa.”
Chloé, who herself is a Shar-Pei dog owner, added: “It’s sold really well so far. I’m a massive dog lover, so I’m just so excited.”
