A SPATE of attacks on the RSPCA clinic in Rhyl have left staff devastated and afraid.
Criminal damage at the clinic, on Vaughan Street, have also been reported to the police.
In the last month, incidents have included:
• Nails inserted into several tyres, which could have resulted in accidents.
• Dog waste pushed through the clinic door.
• Newly fitted double glazed reception doors smashed, resulting in a client's dog being injured when treading on the broken glass.
Prior to this, a spokesperson for the clinic said, another vehicle belonging to the clinic had a window smashed.
The spokesperson pleaded with the culprits for an end to these acts, and for police to find those responsible.
They said: “Somebody has got this vendetta against either us, the branch, or the clinic, but we don’t know who’s doing it.
“We dread to think what the next thing will be, and it’s quite unnerving when you don’t know what’s going to happen next. It’s quite frightening.
“The fact they’ve put nails in tyres is really dangerous. I’d like them to stop doing it; I don’t know what their problem is, or who their (specific) target is. We’ve done an awful lot for the area."

The spokesperson added that repairing the damage caused will cost hundreds of pounds.
They were particularly dismayed given the clinic provided a vital service to animals across North Wales during the COVID-19 pandemic, staying open throughout.
Donations to support the clinic financially were also encouraged.
They added: “It’s money that we can’t afford to lose. It’s difficult keeping all of the balls in the air as it is.
“We’re very concerned about it, and nervous, because staff are sometimes there on their own.
“We run it on the absolute bones of staff, so we certainly don’t want them to get frightened of working there, especially during dark nights.
“Luckily, nothing’s been damaged at the shop down the road, but it’s all really quite nasty.”
North Wales Police (NWP) confirmed in a statement that it is investigating the incidents.
A NWP spokesperson said: “We received a report of criminal damage to a charitable veterinary clinic on Vaughan Street, Rhyl, shortly before 10.30am on Monday, November 14.
“The incident is understood to have taken place sometime between 5pm on November 10 and 9am on November 14.
“We are also aware of previous reports of criminal damage to a vehicle belonging to the same charity.
“Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact us via our live webchat facility, or on 101, using reference 22000834732.”
