A NURSERY in Rhuddlan raised money to buy a gift for the daughter of one of their members of staff who has cancer.
Castle Day Nursery, located on Gwindy Street, surprised Lizzie Hunter, known affectionately as Lil, with a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer purchased with help from the nursery’s fundraising.
Lil, whose mum Emma works at the nursery, is a keen baker and is currently receiving chemotherapy after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Castle Day Nursery said in a post on social media: “Here is a picture of Lil, kindly sent by her family from a small get together at the weekend - to surprise her with an "Artisan KitchenAid Stand mixer" purchased with help from the fundraising at Nursery.
“They have said it "will be the gift that keeps on giving" - her pride and joy!
“Many thanks to all who donated and helped this happen, this will keep her love of baking busy, whilst on breaks from chemotherapy.”
