THE full inquest into the death of a Rhyl man killed in a crash with a delivery driver will begin following the conclusion of a police investigation.
Patrick McDonald, a Liverpool-born former labourer, died on Saturday, October 22, after he collided with a delivery driver in Church Street, in Rhyl.
According to John Gittins, coroner for North Wales East and Central, CCTV footage from the incident showed the delivery driver reversing the wrong way down a one-way street and striking the deceased.
He told the court that he had ordered a Home Office post-mortem to be carried out and a cause of death was given as severe head and chest injuries.
Mr Gittins added that police were carrying out an investigation and a date for a full inquest would be set once that was completed.
