THE skies in Llandudno were lit up with fantastic colours during the town's annual firework display.
Thousands of people from North Wales descended on Llandudno's North Shore beach to watch the dazzling display on October 27.
There were plenty of 'oohs' and 'ahhs' during the 20 minute display which finished with a glittering crescendo which saw the entire sky lit up.
The event, by Llandudno Town Council, is supported by Llandudno Pier and Conwy County Borough Council. Donations were collected on the night; all money raised will go towards the cost of the display.
The display is considered to be one of the best fireworks displays in North Wales.
Is is becoming a tradition for the event to be held in October. This is due to the crowd-pleaser being "very tide dependent."
Llandudno Town Council has organised the display since its inception back in 1976.
Residents raved about the display on the Pioneer Facebook.
Jenny Stokes said: "Absolutely fabulous. Proud of you Llandudno."
Ange Walker said: "Brilliant display and so much planning behind the scenes. Well done to all those involved. Bigger and better every year."
Janet Finch Saunders, MS, who watched the display, said: "With dark and cold nights upon us, it was absolutely glorious to see a festival of fireworks in our hometown.
“The Queen of Welsh resorts already has a fantastic reputation for fireworks, and she did not disappoint. We were treated to a stunning show.
“I do not doubt that the event contributes positively to our local economy, and as such I hope that we will enjoy many more over the years to come.
“Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without the selfless commitment of so many individuals, especially those at Llandudno Town Council, Llandudno Pier, and Conwy County Borough Council.”
