A BLINDS and curtains shop which opened in Abergele at the start of the year has expanded by launching its own homeware store.
“Just Blinds”, on Bridge Street, was set up by Tanya Jones in February, before a sister store, “Pen Y Bont Interiors” was opened by her husband, Paul, at the same premises in September.
Between them, Tanya and Paul’s stores offer a wide range of services, including made-to-measure curtains and a variety of ornaments.
Plans are already in the works for them to further expand with a new kitchenware store at the site at the start of next year.
Tanya, who is able draw on more than a decade of experience in the blinds and curtains industry, is delighted that both businesses have so far proved a roaring success, with more still to come.

Tanya said: “We decided after COVID, and losing my father, that we would set up our own business, so we both gave up our jobs in February.
“I’ve been in the blinds industry for about 11 years now. We’ve done such a good job, and have got such a good reputation, and because I’ve been in the industry so long, and because of the way that Paul’s business has headed as well, that it’s moved the whole business really quickly.
“They’re in (the same location) together; we do made-to-measure blinds, shutters and curtains.
“We have a service where we go out and measure people’s windows and then fit them as well. We cover all domestic work, static caravans, lodges, and also contract work as well."

Tanya added: “We then rented the unit where the old Bevans site used to be, and decided that the stock room there was then going to become the interiors side – lamps, ornaments, vases…
“That’s taken off like a storm; it’s been really amazing.
“We then knocked through to the next unit, and we’re planning to launch a unique kitchenware store after Christmas. We’re expanding and expanding and expanding!”
